Okay, there are things about Illinois that we miss. That’s a given. Anytime you move somewhere, you are going to start noticing things that you used to have or enjoy that are no longer there. For us, it is mainly friends and family. I miss Zuki in Evansville but there are plenty of places around here to get sushi so not a biggie. The kids miss going to the park in Carmi. We really don’t have a nice park where we live.
It is inevitable. When you spend a long enough time in once place, you develop your attachments.
However, every time you come to a new place, you are going to discover things that you never knew about before. That is part of the joy of a new home and a new town. What is here that we did not have before? We definitely have discovered some places that fit that description since the move.
The place that might be highest on the list…..
Oh my gosh, do we ever love Sweet Frog. It has become a must stop pretty much every time that we go to Lynchburg. Now, for those of you who are lost and have no idea what I am talking about, it is self serve frozen yogurt. I would attempt to describe the experience but I think I would fail to do them justice.
Here is what they have to say about themselves on their website.
Welcome to sweetFrog® — where our goal is to create the best frozen yogurt experience you’ve ever had! You create your own combination of delicious, soft-serve premium frozen yogurt, then finish it off with any toppings you choose. Our toppings bar is stocked fresh every day with the best ingredients for a light snack, a decadent dessert, and everything in between. You pick the flavors, you add the toppings, you make it your way!
Throw in a warm, family-friendly environment and our lovable mascots, Scoop and Cookie, and you’ll see why customers across the nation are embracing sweetFrog! We’ve grown a lot since we began in 2009, but we’ll never get too big to lose our commitment to local communities. The F.R.O.G. in sweetFrog stands for Fully Rely On God, and we show that by being a good neighbor everywhere we move into. Through local partnerships, fundraisers, and much more, our stores become part of the fabric that wraps their communities.
If you have a Sweet Frog close to you then you know what I am talking about. If you don’t have a Sweet Frog in your area, that is a good enough reason to move.
Alright, that’s it for tonight. Here’s the deal. Leave me a comment and let’s have a conversation here. If not, at least like and share the post. Have a blessed evening.
