Scratching the itch

I think all of us have a time in our lives when we think about starting our own business. Maybe you have always dreamed of running your own restaurant. Perhaps your dream has been to own a movie theater or start a recording company. These are just a few of the ideas that friends of mine have had over time. However, the difficulty or lack of knowledge in regards to these endeavors often leads a person to the public workforce, landing a job doing something that, while productive, might be far less satisfactory.

If you are one of those people, let this 30-ish minute podcast from The Digitial Entrepreneur featuring Laura Roeder be an inspiration to you. As a child, Laura had an entrepreneurial spirit that led her to sell painted rocks to her family members. That spirit never died. Today, she owns her own company and this podcast unpacks that process for her.

While her story is pretty incredible, it’s not impossible. People are scratching that entrepreneurial itch everywhere around you but you are afraid to do it yourself. For whatever reason, you are limiting yourself. You have that desire to create something for yourself but do not know where to start. If you have a dream in life, you need to do whatever it takes to make it happen. Perhaps this is what you were looking for.

Start making changes today so that you can be who you really want to be tomorrow.
