Ready For Spring

I stepped outside onto my front porch this morning and quickly came to the conclusion that today would not be a shorts day. No matter how much I want it to be spring, we’re not quite there yet. But, I assure you, I am counting down the days. However, the weather has been warmer lately. Just two days ago, I was in shorts and a t-shirt and entertaining the thought of putting away all winter clothes until next year.

I dislike winter that much.

I know it serves a purpose. I get that.

I know that some people absolutely live for winter (and someday there will be a diagnosis for that).

This guy has little to no use for it. Moving to Virginia helped some. It’s definitely not as cold here as it is in Illinois through the winter months. There’s probably much less snow as well. It seems that the weather out here is warmer as the ocean air provides a warmer climate than Canada. Obviously, I am no weatherman so this is just an opinion. However, after two winters, it appears to be somewhat accurate.

And, I don’t mean to complain. I’m just sitting here this morning, looking out my kitchen window and thinking about how nice the trees outside look when they actually have leaves on them. The grass looks so much nicer when it is green as opposed to this dull brown. The edge of the woods behind my house is so much more appealing when it is lined with flowers.

But, mostly, I just don’t want to feel cold anymore when I walk over to the office to get my cup of coffee.
