Looks like I’ve got one more day in Virginia. Our plan was to stay here until July 2. However, a company contacted me last week about work. I had two interviews with them last week and they have asked me to come for a third interview at their St. Louis location this week. My timeline has been moved up a little bit but it is definitely for the best.
What does that mean for the Strange family? Well Elisa and the kids will stay here until the first week of July as we had originally planned. I will start working in St. Louis (assuming that I get the job). We will reconnect when they arrive at our house in two more weeks.
Is this ideal? Definitely not. However, we’ve gotten a lot of our packing done already and I have done what I can to make loading our stuff easier on her. But, it has become necessary for us to do this separately since I can begin work now. Fortunately for us, the pastor at our local church is making sure that there are people available to help Elisa get loaded up and on the road in two weeks.
What does this mean for the blog? Well, I’m probably going to take a break from writing. I try to go no more than two days without putting new content up on this site. However, I don’t know what tomorrow will bring. Or the day after that… Or the day after that… You get the picture.
I’m going to continue to run older content on my Facebook page for those of you who follow it. And I will still post as I get a chance. But, until we are all back in Illinois and stable again, I don’t know what my time will allow.
For those of you who are regular readers (both of you), I just wanted you to know that I haven’t stopped blogging. Be patient and wait for me, because I will return. For those of you who make it a habit to pray. Be praying for our transition. I leave for Illinois on Tuesday morning.
I will see you when I see you.
Life is strange. Live it well.
