After eight years of working in residential care, my wife and I chose to step away and take a shot at normality for our family this past summer. Three months into our new journey and I must say that it was the right decision to make for our family. However, despite the change of careers, our heart still breaks for children. Lead By Example

My dad always used to say, “Do what I say, not what I do.” I remember as a child thinking that was kind of silly advice but not really understanding just how off-centered that line of thinking was exactly. At the time, it seemed like he just did not want me making the same decisions and mistakes in life that he had made.
