Dealing with Disappointment

It has been two years now (ish) since I finished up my graduate program at Liberty University. Having secured a Master’s Degree in Executive Leadership, I was convinced that I would be returning to Illinois like a prodigal child returning home. Prospective employers would be lined up at the Illinois / Indiana border, waving offers of employment in my direction. I would have to break the spirit of multiple hopeful employers as this newly minted model of success would only be capable of filling the role of CEO for one lucky company. Finish what you start

One of our goals in life should be to maximize the amount of free time that we have with our families. While being employed is extremely important and necessary for sustaining and adult life and family, it means very little if it is consuming your time and leaving you with little enjoyment. With that said, we should all be looking for more opportunities to do new things with those that we love. There will always be time to work but your kids will only be kids for a little while.
